Jewish Children's Museum in NY evacuated for bomb threat

According to DNAinfo, administrators at the Jewish Children's Museum received an email at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday that claimed three pipe bombs planted inside the center would explode.

The JCC Association's letter came on the same day that centers in Colorado, Delaware, Connecticut and Vancouver received bomb threats, and a day after a dozen such threats were lobbed at JCCs and Jewish day schools across the U.S. and Canada.

The kids, said Bellows, had no idea the threat had happened.

It would also eliminate grants to local law enforcement agencies to increase patrols around airports. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) slammed the president for putting out such a "nonsensical" proposal.

"It is time for action, and we call on the administration and Congress to take concrete steps to catch those threatening the Jewish community", Anti-Defamation League Chief Executive Jonathan A. Greenblatt said.

The Friends and Family of the Levite Jewish Community Center formed to write letters to lawmakers, make ribbons, provide support and effect change.

It also states, "We are appalled at extensive desecration of Jewish cemeteries, threats and vandalism against Muslim communities and mosques, and the killing of seven transgender people since the start of 2017, a lot of them trans women of color".

The lawmakers addressed their letter to FBI Director James Comey and Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente. The FBI has accused Russian Federation of hacking Democratic computers during the 2016 campaign.
