NH Women Arrested After One Injected the Other with Drugs While She was Giving Birth Cops

A mother in New Hampshire is facing charges after police say she ordered a friend to shoot her up with heroin and meth while she was giving birth.

Farruggia and the baby were taken to Concord Hospital where they were admitted for several days.

A report via the concordmonitor tells of Frenette using an unsanitary syringe to try to inject Farruggia at least once before finally succeeding whilst at the home they shared. "She didn't really care what".

Also arrested was 37 year old woman, Rhianna Frenette of Belmont who allegedly gave the expectant mother the speedball while she was in labor.

"This case is just, honestly, absolutely appalling in my mind", Ford said, according to the Associated Press. During her interview, Farruggia declared that the perspective of giving birth was frightening, as the pains might be too much for her to endure. His urine was positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine. The incident took place six months ago, and the baby was delivered at term, but with traces of narcotics in his system. Frenette's bail was set at $25,000.

Meanwhile, during her interview, Frenette told the investigators that she was, at first, baffled by her friend's request.

Frenette told the police that, upon entering the bathroom, she felt like she has stepped into a nightmare. "She said that (Farruggia) was in full blown labor and essentially mutilating herself with the needle". Frenette said she asked Farruggia, referring to the suspected drugs, and Farruggia said she wouldn't, according to court documents. When authorities asked Frenette why she agreed to inject Farruggia with the drugs, she allegedly remarked, "I'm a people pleaser". Frenette also said she herself was likely high on methamphetamine.

Both women were arrested this week.
