Amaju Pinnick NFF boss wins CAF Executive Committee election

The incumbent president of African football is out of office after 29 years.

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has shed lights on factors that led to the fall of former Caf president Issa Hayatou.

The writing was on the wall for Hayatou after he backed Fifa President Gianni Infantino's rival candidate, the Bahrain royal Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa, in the historic post-Sepp Blatter election.

Pinnick won the West African Zone B seat into the Caf executive committee by defeating Benin Republic's Anjorin Moucharafou.

Amgen's Repatha Results Not Good Enough For The Street
At one year, there was a 16% relative risk reduction for the combination of cardiovascular death, heart attack and stroke. Amgen announced in February that the drug was a success, but details of the research were not released until Friday.

Local football pundits welcomed Ahmad's triumph in the poll as not only a commendable victory for the southern African region, but as a welcome, much-needed and long overdue blessing for the overall progress of African football. "When you work hard for years and months and you succeed, that is great".

Around the same time, TheCable gathered that senate president Bukola Saraki was unhappy with the pressure Dalung was putting on Pinnick, especially after Ahmad had sought support from him and the sports minister, during a visit to Nigeria.

Ahmad is 57 years old and has two children.

Barely forty-eight hours to the election, confusion ensued after Dalung ordered Pinnick to vote Hayatou rather than Ahmad.

City knocked out of Champions League
City's attacks were few and far between and those they did piece together fizzled out before they reached the box. The draw for Champions League quarterfinals will be held in Nyon's UEFA headquarters on Friday.

"We are very happy that African football has now been liberated", Rwanda soccer federation president Vincent Nzamwita said.

The 71 year old Cameroonian who was voted out Thursday in Addis Ababa he said has contributed his quota to the game in the continent and it behooves on the new government to build on whatever he has achieved.

His focus on ethics came at a time when Hayatou and CAF secretary general Hicham el Amrani have been recommended for criminal prosecution in Egypt over the confederation's new $1 billion marketing and television rights deal. Ahmad was accused of alleged corruption in the award of the 2022 World Cup ticket to Qatar.
