Assad sees key Russian Federation role after Syria-Israel strikes

14 2016 shows Syrian pro-government forces advancing during a military operation in the northern city of Aleppo

Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Sunday threatened to destroy Syrian air defence systems "without the slightest hesitation" if they fired on Israeli planes in future.

The Israeli Air Force is now testing the first battery of Magic Wand, also known as David's Sling, the new and advanced missile interception system that will join the Arrow and Iron Dome that protect Israel's skies. Several anti-aircraft missiles were launched from Syria following the mission and IDF Aerial Defense Systems intercepted one of the missiles.

Then, on the evening of Sunday-Monday, Israel launched yet another attack into Syria - the third in three days, and the second in 24 hours.

Golovkin edges Jacobs by decision to defend titles
Roman Gonzalez was upset in the co-feature losing the WBC Super Flyweight title to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai of Thailand. Golovkin and Jacobs was an enthralling, albeit less exciting, 12-rounder that appeared tight on the scorecards.

The Israeli analysts pointed out that Syria President Bashar Assad is directly supported by Hezbollah, Iran and Russian Federation and feels that he can intensify the confrontation with the Zionist entity. The planes were not hit, but the Arrow missile system was deployed and intercepted one of the Syrian missiles north of Jerusalem. With Russian backing, Assad has turned the tide of the conflict, reclaiming critical territory from ISIS and other rebel groups.

The embassy refrained from commenting on Koren's visit over the weekend, but the Russian Foreign Ministry did say that the ambassador's visit "was mostly to discuss the latest events in Syria and around it". For most of the Syrian civil war, Israel has watched from the sidelines, except for occasional strikes against Hezbollah weapons shipments that it says could be strategic game changers in the balance of power.

What do you think of Israel's strikes inside Syria? Some claimed the victim, Hussein Assayed, was a Syrian air defense commander.

Haimovich further explained that once the air force fully integrates the new missile defense system, the Aerial Defense Unit "will be better able to serve the State of Israel- it won't be hermetic and flawless, but it comes with even greater capabilities". Israel estimates that Hezbollah has thousands of more reserve fighters than it did in 2006.

In another two weeks, the Israel Defense Forces will declare the Magic Wand system, also known as David's Sling, as operational.
