Baker praises 10-day DL change after Nats shelve Turner

Trea Turner Leaves Game vs. Phillies with Apparent Leg Injury

We're officially a week into the Major League Baseball season, and the injury bug has already bitten the Washington Nationals.

According to an official statement released by MLB Roster Moves on Monday afternoon, the Washington Nationals have placed starting shortstop Trea Turner on the club's 10-day disabled list.

Xi stops in Alaska on way back to China
Trump has accused China of "raping" the USA and argued that it has engaged in trade abuses to gain an advantage over the US. A sound bilateral relationship will benefit not only the two countries and peoples, but also the world at large, he said.

Fortunately, it appears that when Turner aggravated his hamstring stealing second base in the 1st inning in Philadelphia, he did not tear anything. But he pulled into third in pain and was taken out of the game.

It's the first career DL stint for the 2016 runner up in NL Rookie of the Year voting.

Bradley out of starting lineup for Red Sox, has MRI on knee
The injury isn't expected the sideline Bradley for long, so the hope is that he'll be ready to return as soon as he's eligible. Bradley has a.237 career average with 40 homers and 172 RBIs in 398 career games with the Red Sox.

In Turner's absence, veteran Stephen Drew and fellow youngster Wilmer Difo are options to serve at shortstop. Drew started Sunday's game, although the decision on who will get the daily start will likely be a game-by-game basis. Last season, across his 73 regular season appearances, he posted a.342 batting average with 13 home runs, 40 RBI and a.370 on-base percentage. He's a dual power/speed threat that is a usual nice fit in the leadoff spot. And no doubt count the days until Trea Turner is back on the field.

Even when factoring in his 3-for-19 (.158) start over his first five games-an extremely limited sample size-Turner is still a player that will make the Nationals better when healthy.
