Bruins' Brad Marchand suspended 2 games for spearing

Why is this, you may ask?

It's because Yzerman's trades opened positions for younger players to fill that the Lightning had a resurgence, and made many in the National Hockey League look over their shoulders and pray that Tampa Bay wouldn't make the postseason.

Marchand was disciplined for spearing Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Jake Dotchin in the groin during Boston's 4-0 victory on Tuesday. Lightning trainer Tom Mulligan tended to Dotchin, who remained on the ice for several minutes before skating off on his own. Unfortunately, we're pretty certain there were some residual effects from Marchand's classless act. Tampa Bay had small surges of offensive possession during the second and third periods, but nothing they did had any effect on Tuukka Rask or the rest of the Bruins.

'The Mummy' actor Tom Cruise films 'Mission Impossible 6' in Paris
Tom Cruise starred as Ethan Hunt in 2015's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation which was a box office success. It's now been confirmed - by CinemaBlend - that Renner is missing from the cast list for the new movie.

First and foremost, the Bruins will have to forge on without Marchand - one of their best and most consistent players all season - as they jockey for playoff positioning in the East's playoff picture.

Brad Marchand was it again on Tuesday. We'll come back to this in a moment.

In announcing the penalty, the NHL Department of Player Safety said that stick infractions happen frequently in the league and are usually handled with on-ice penalties but that Marchand's situation was different.

Five Canadian teams, Blackhawks dynasty among stories to watch in NHL playoffs
The defending champion Pittsburg Penguins are without top defenceman Kris Letang, who is gone for the season with the neck injury. What changes, according to the 2008 Stanley Cup-winning coach? Even 31-year-old Matt Hunwick has suited up for only 20.

At the same time, there is something a little disconcerting about their announcement. This is not light contact. The first is against the Lightning, who are only four points behind the Bruins with a game in hand. What makes it so frustrating is that we all wanted to believe that Marchand had fully grown up this season.

For the longest time, Boston's resident rat, agitator, uberpest - pick your poisonous word - Brad Marchand has been like an alley cat with nine lives.

Earlier this season Marchand was suspended for slew-footing Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall.

Akzo's Battle With PPG Escalates Amid Push to Oust Chairman
Akzo rejected a pair of offers handed in by PPG, but a number of shareholders, including Elliott are in favor of the bid. Akzo Nobel's director of investor relations Lloyd Midwinter was mistakenly included as one of the addressees.

"The most important thing is we're in the playoffs and, regardless of who we have to play, we have to do the job". The Bruins were playing for the opportunity to clinch a playoff berth for the first time in three years, while the Lightning were looking to close the gap in an effort to earn the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Ironically enough, it was Stralman who ended up in the box when all was said and done.
