Browns mulling Trubisky, Garrett at No. 1

The draft heads to Philadelphia after spending two years in Chicago, which in 2015 broke New York City's long run of hosting.

National Football League insider Adam Schefter is reporting this week that the Browns have not decided between Garrett and North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. While the Browns will now take on his $16 million guaranteed salary, they will also receive the Texans' 2018 second-round pick and 2017 sixth-round pick.

"If they wait on the quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky will not make it back to them at 12", Schefter said.

Syrian deal to evacuate tens of thousands of people begins
The opposition says the deals amount to forced population transfer and deliberate demographic change. Civilian residents of Madaya and Zabadani will reportedly be allowed to remain if they choose.

If the Browns pass on the chance to select a quarterback with the top pick, then it likely means they will go for Myles Garrett. The Browns have a chance for a "generational" player - the word Hue Jackson used in talking about the first pick. Hey, it's the silly season, with teams bending over backwards to lie and manipulate their way into a better lot come when the NFL Draft commences April 27. The most recent draft chatter has Patrick Mahomes II of Texas Tech as rising on draft boards.

Last season, quarterbacks had a 31.9 rating when targeting his coverage and he allowed just 18 receptions. They must be asking themselves if they can afford to wait until their pick at No. 12, or even later. He used two different draft charts to show two ways that the Browns could easily trade with the Titans and exchange equal value.

The Jets can not be accused of not doing their homework with this year's quarterback class. "I'm thinking offensive line, defensive line is probably the way to go", Brooks said. If they decide they can't, Garrett at No. 1 and a trade back into the top five could be the ideal solution. Once their homework is complete on each prospect, that's when the 49ers will have a better idea of whether or not they want to start wheeling and dealing draft picks.

However, if it's 10th overall, it might just be a little too rich for their blood considering their offseason actions and plans for 2017.
