Majority of Americans feel Trump isn't keeping promises

Less than 100 days into President Donald Trump's administration, majorities of Americans disapproved of his performance in office and question whether he can work with Congress or keep his promises.

The decline in faith that he would follow through on his pledges spanned across demographics - women, men, liberals, moderates and conservatives.

According to Gallup, Trump's approval rating dropped two percentage points from when the February poll was conducted to when the April poll was done, from 42% down to 40%.

Gorsuch sworn in as Supreme Court justice
You may call Gorsuch whatever you like-interloper, cipher, beneficiary of a stolen seat-but his formal title is now "Justice". The result of these stratagems is a more politicized court and a new justice viewed by one party as illegitimate.

That attribute - a leadership style that's "strong and decisive" - was said to be extremely important to voters in at least one poll after the last election. At the start of April, Gallup had Trump's approval rating at 38 percent, among the lowest numbers of his young presidency.

The Gallup presidential tracking poll said that 55 percent of the respondents did not believe Trump's decisions are consistent with his campaign promises compared with 45 percent who said they did not detect any major deviation. Trump also faces issues when it comes to the perception that he's a strong and decisive leader and a wide majority of American's say they do not trust him. In February, a majority also said Trump can bring about the changes the country needs, but less than half hold that view now.

Several more moderate GOP lawmakers, including four of the five representatives from New Jersey, objected to the Trump-backed health-care bill, helping seal its defeat.

Pence to open Asian trip amid tensions with North Korea
North Korea said Friday that the US had better not treat it like Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gaddafi, that is, like Iraq and Libya. The country launched a long-range rocket and conducted the two nuclear tests past year , including its most powerful to date.

United States President Donald Trump has shared a report of Rasmussen poll showing his approval rating at 50 percent.

Trump's supporters have expressed their unhappiness that the president has not moved forward on immigration, healthcare or taxes.

Most Americans have viewed Trump unfavourably since before his inauguration and continue to do so almost 90 days into his term in office.

United Nations envoy: Syria ready to provide OPCW investigators access to Shayrat airbase
Putin said Wednesday that U.S. -Russia relations have "degraded" since President Trump took office. And he suggested that possible war crimes charges could be levied against the Syrian leader.

These views could shift again, depending on Trump's actions over the course of his presidency. He lost ground with Democrats, independents, and Republicans.
