Two shot, killed in restaurant shooting in Arlington

- Arlington police say two people are dead, including the gunman, after a shooting at a local restaurant Wednesday afternoon.

Officers from the Arlington Police Department responded to a 911 call of a shooting at Zona Caliente Sports Bar & Grill around 6:17 p.m. local time.

Christopher Cook says the two people have been shot and killed in this incident. He allegedly walked into Zona Caliente, began arguing with the manager - 37-year-old Cesar Perez - and then pulled out a gun and killed Perez.

"This customer was armed with a handgun and engaged the shooter by firing his weapon towards the suspect, striking him", Arlington PD said in a statement.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The customer told police he had a concealed-carry license, WFAA reported.
