North Korea accuses US, South Korea of assassination attempt

North Korea on Friday accused the US Central Intelligence Agency and South Korea's intelligence service of plotting to attack its "supreme leadership" with a bio-chemical weapon. The accusations come with the U.S. and North trading threats over the latter's nuclear and missile programs, and as Washington considers whether to re-designate Pyongyang as a state sponsor of terrorism.

North Korea has issued a rare direct criticism of China through a commentary saying its "reckless remarks" on the North's nuclear program are testing its patience and could trigger unspecified "grave" consequences.

Trump has vowed to "properly deal" with Pyongyang, and the US House of Representatives has overwhelmingly approved legislation tighten sanctions on North Korea by targeting its shipping industry and companies that do business with the reclusive state.

A statement by the ministry of state security said a terrorist group backed by the CIA and South Korea's intelligence agency had entered the country to attack with a bio-chemical substance.

Officers at the National Intelligence Service were said to have trained the man, providing him with $20,000 and a satellite transmitter-receiver.

Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee on East Asia, said last month that the United States should work with South Korea, Japan and China to formulate a plan for what would happen after the fall of Kim.

North Korean ministry claimed that the government was made aware of a 2014 assassination attempt against Kim that was to be carried out by an "ideologically corrupted and bribed" citizen who reportedly worked closely with Russian operatives to take out Kim, ABC News reported.

Giving details of the failed assassination plot, the statement said that the killer was told that the use of biochemical substances "including radioactive substance and nano poisonous substance is the best method that does not require access to the target". North Korea denied involvement.

Athletes told not to wear school clothing while protesting
Last year, some athletes echoed protesters from the community who were frustrated by the death of Alton Sterling. But the key difference here is that Walter Scott in SC - he was shot when he was running away from the officer.

But the statement, which described the suspect as "human scum", warned: 'Criminals going hell-bent to realise such a pipe dream can not survive on this land even a moment'.

The bill bars ships owned by North Korea or by countries that refuse to comply with United Nations resolutions against it from operating in American waters or docking at US ports.

One of the countries doing business with North Korea is China, as it supplies almost all of the regime's crude oil, diesel, and jet fuel. "And Beijing's role in helping do so seems to be a litmus test that will influence the future of the US-China relationship", Snyder said.

Malaysian police have arrested two women, one from Indonesia and the other from Vietnam, and charged them with murder, accusing them of smearing VX nerve agent on Kim Jong Nam's face at the instruction of North Korean officers.
