Since Alicia Keys announced she's stepping down as judge for season 13 of "The Voice", The Hollywood Reporter announces Jennifer Hudson will take her place in the big red chair next season.

"In one post, the head of "#TeamJHud" gave a shout-out to the coaches she will compete against, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and Blake Shelton.

"We are thrilled she has chosen to join us as a coach to mentor the next generation through our unique vocal boot camp", said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment.

SE Cupp: Kellyanne Conway is wrong about Anderson Cooper's eyeroll
Honestly, anyone who can interview Conway for 10 minutes before rolling their eyes is a hero in my book. Conway, as she's wont to do, deflected by thanking Cooper for the "trip down memory lane".

Hudson is a critically acclaimed singer and actress. Along with her successful career, she is also known for her weight loss journey and advocacy for healthy living.

Hudson recently released her new single, "Remember Me", which she co-wrote with Jamie Hartman. Hopefully not: a Voice UK insider said they were expecting J-Hud to remain on the UK show too in 2018, telling Radiotimes.com, "The intention is for Jennifer to return to The Voice UK next series". Hudson was a part of NBC's Hairspray Live! event.

The 13th season will begin this fall. "I feel like it's nearly like a hobby", she said.

Eurovision: Pop, politics and a dancing ape _ but no Russia
Sundnes was later removed from his spot on the official Norwegian jury for the Eurovision Song Contest . The first ten finalists will join the so-called Big Five and hosts Ukraine in the Grand Final.

Following "Dreamgirls", Hudson has co-starred in such films as "Sex and the City", "The Secret Life of Bees" and Spike Lee's "Chi-Raq".

J-Hud had previously been told by Simon Cowell when she appeared on American Idol back in 2004 that she was "out of her depth" but it would appear that this woman has only just got started.

News. She'll be lending her expertise to a host of aspiring musicians - and no one's more excited about the news than me. She has also been nominated for four Grammy awards.
