Jeff Sessions offered to resign after rising tension with Trump

Reuters

An administration official told CNN that Trump's frustration with Sessions dates back to March 2, when Sessions suddenly recused himself from the Russian Federation investigation amid pressure from Democrats on Capitol Hill.

Sessions' decision to recuse himself from his post was based on a Washington Post report that revealed Sessions had met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during Trump's presidential campaign and how he neglected to mention that fact during the Senate Judiciary Committee's January confirmation hearing.

In the three months since Sessions stepped aside, the intensity of the probe has grown exponentially - culminating in Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's decision to appoint Robert Mueller as special counsel.

Iranian parliament terrorist attack ends with 4 gunmen killed
Iran's intelligence ministry said it had prevented a third attack by an unnamed "terrorist group", the BBC reported. A woman was arrested after the attack at the tomb, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

The sources tell ABC that Trump's anger has not diminished, and he has lashed out at the attorney general repeatedly behind closed doors. A slew of former Sessions aides also serve in top White House positions.

During his daily press briefing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer appeared to acknowledge that tweets written by President Trump amounted to official policy.

Sessions' offer to resign was first reported by ABC News.

Siri speaker, iOS 11 likely to be unveiled
The iPhone 8 is expected to be released in September this year, so this could affect the release date of the rumoured speaker. It's part of Apple's effort to entice professionals with tablets that can handle many tasks previously reserved for laptops.

A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment to NPR's Carrie Johnson on the reports, which NPR has not confirmed. Spicer said, "I have not had a discussion with him (Trump) about that".

The reporter then inquired if Trump is concerned that his tweets could be used against him in matters like the proposed travel ban.

Trump's relationship with Sessions, though, is much stronger and longer-standing than his relationship ever was with Comey.

The Manchester concert came the day after attackers targeted the heart of London, killing seven people. Grande's manager Scooter Braun said on Sunday that the concert will go on as planned.

On Monday, for example, rather than focusing on his administration's planned roll out of a week focused on infrastructure, Trump knocked his Justice Department's handing of his travel ban in the wake of a terrorist attack in London.
