Two men arrested, accused of attacking Border Patrol agent

Border Patrol raids desert aid camp, arrests 4 from Mexico

Authorities in New Mexico say two suspects accused of assaulting an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent in Texas with a machete have been arrested.

On Thursday, officers served a search warrant at the camp, which is located just 11 miles from the border.

In temperatures surging over 100℉, US Border Patrol raided the medical aid camp of humanitarian organization No More Deaths, and detained four individuals receiving medical care.

"Since 2013, the Tucson Sector of the Border Patrol has had a written agreement with No More Deaths (NMD) that they will respect the NMD camp as a medical facility under the International Red Cross standards, which prohibit government interference with humanitarian aid centers", said No More Deaths founder John Fife.

The Laredo Sector Border Patrol rescued three illegal immigrants in a wooden cabinet inside of a van.

The agency said it "wants to stress the dangers of illegally crossing the border".

"No More Deaths has documented the deaths and disappearances of hundreds of migrants in the Arivaca corridor of the border", said Kate Morgan, the group's abuse documentation and advocacy coordinator. They were a little over 11 miles (17.7 kilometers) north of the global border near the small town of Arivaca.

Trump to redraw Cuba policy
Trump said throughout the 2016 campaign that he was willing to rollback diplomatic relations with the communist regime in Cuba. Though Trump will announce his new policy this Friday, nothing will change until the agencies implement those regulations.

Dinsmore said agents have arrested migrants who received aid a few times but that the large-scale operation on Thursday was unprecedented.

The enforcement action comes after President Donald Trump has made securing the border a top priority of his administration, including a signature campaign promise to build a wall along the border with Mexico. "Regardless of their immigration status, we render aid".

One of the men arrested Thursday previously was convicted of smuggling more than 600 pounds of marijuana, the agency said in a news release Friday.

Gaffney, the volunteer, said the camp would carry on with normal operations.

Bank of England vote to hold interest rates, despite MPC split
The Committee voted unanimously to maintain government bond purchases at £435bn and corporate bond purchases at £10bn. Ian McCafferty, Michael Saunders and Kristin Forbes all voted to hike the interest rate by 25 basis points to 0.50%.

"If their mission was to apprehend these individuals they had 18 miles to do so", Dinsmore said, "and instead they waited until they entered camp". "If anyone needs help, the Border Patrol advises them to call 911 immediately as delays could result in loss of life".
