During the closing arguments of comedian Bill Cosby's sexual-assault trial on Monday, Cosby's leading lawyer turned to his client's wife, Camille, and said she "deserved better". They also complained that prosecutors improperly struck blacks from the jury chosen in Pittsburgh. A judge recently denied Cosby's motion to dismiss the case and a trial has been scheduled for June 2018. Ms. Constand is the only woman whose allegations have resulted in criminal charges.

"We're here because of them", he said, pointing to the benches of reporters covering the trial.

But as the deliberations drag on, noted Toronto defence lawyer Monte MacGregor told the Toronto Sun the lack of a verdict suggests a stalemate in the jury room.

Jurors deliberated into the night Tuesday, going outside for some fresh air after 8 p.m.

Bill Cosby leaves the Montgomery County Courthouse during his sexual assault trial, Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Norristown, Pa.

Seven women are suing Cosby for defamation in separate lawsuits pending in MA, where Cosby has a home in Shelburne Falls. Constand told police she was semi-conscious as he touched her breast and genitals. She explained her support by saying it comes down to how she would feel if she was facing a hard time. See what she had to say in the video above. Some 60 women have come forward accusing Mr. Cosby of sexually violating them, but the statute of limitations for prosecution had run out in almost every case.

Jackson said Constand told her she had been drugged and molested. McMonagle said. "Just say it".

Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Bill Cosby's youngest daughter on "The Cosby Show", continued to voice her support for her TV dad Wednesday - as jurors entered their third day of deliberations.

In July 2015, a judge unsealed Cosby's deposition in that 2006 civil lawsuit. They asked four during the first two days of deliberations. He's accused of drugging and violating a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

The 79-year-old entertainer did not take the stand at his trial, but prosecutors used Cosby's decade-old deposition testimony as evidence.

The first prosecutor to review the case in 2005 passed on it.

Aziz, for his part, thanked China for its support and constructive proposals to promote peace and stability in the region. The government said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) violates India's territorial sovereignty.

According to a report from Philadelphia magazine, convicting Cosby for sexual assault would be very hard since there is no physical evidence that could link him to the crime.

Mr. Cosby faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault and could face as much as 30 years in prison if convicted. He says the encounter with 44-year-old Andrea Constand was consensual.

Jurors asked for testimony about a detective's interview with Cosby in early 2005. His defense, led by Brian McMonagle, rested after a single witness - a policeman - took the stand for a total of six minutes.

"They are looking for chinks in her (Constand's) armour", MacGregor said.

Bill Cosby has arrived for the start of Day 3 of jury deliberations in his sexual assault trial.

Jurors have deliberated for more than 21 hours since getting the case Monday.

The case has sparked debate over celebrity, race, power and gender. The majority of the alleged abuse happened too long ago to prosecute. "Simply, you're exhausted, and I respect that", O'Neill said. In clear and firm statements, she said Cosby, a powerful Temple alum, mentored her and took an interest in her career like a father figure.
