Colts Officially Activate Andrew Luck off of PUP

2:45 | NFL Colts Should Andrew Luck's Health Be a Bigger Concern

The notion of Luck having to miss regular season games has begun to settle in amongst the Colts' fanbase as almost every reporter expects him to be on the sideline for their season opener against the Rams in Los Angeles.

There is also more of a cloud over his health after the Colts on Saturday traded wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to the New England Patriots in exchange for quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

They also need to forge chains of interconnected development and seek strength in unity, the Chinese president continued.

The Brissett move indicates the Colts' needs for additional resources at the QB position beyond simply Scott Tolzien, the 29-year-old backup who is 0-2-1 as a starter in the NFL.

Speaking Thursday, Colts owner Jim Irsay acknowledged Andrew Luck (shoulder) is unlikely to play in Week 1.

The country was ravaged by post election violence in 2007, which left 1,200 people dead and another 600,000 displaced. The election sparked days of sporadic protests, in which at least 28 people were killed.

The Colts have until 16:00 EST (20:00 GMT) to either leave Luck on the PUP list or add him to the active roster. The Colts have a season-altering decision to make in the coming days.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Luck passed his physical at 3:15 PM EST, so while it may have just been a mere formality, the Colts were cutting the deadline close a bit-at least time wise.

Brissett, depending on how quickly he picks up offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski's offense, should push Tolzien and Stephen Morris for snaps until Luck returns. However, the quarterback may not be ready to play in their season opener Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Sept. 10. Morris was consistent throughout the preseason, throwing for 399 yards and completing almost 68 percent of his pass attempts. He finished 28-of-39 for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
