NRL Grand Final: Melbourne Storm beat North Queensland Cowboys

Directly opposite Cronk is Michael Morgan; the man who has more than emerged from the shadow of injured future immortal Johnathan Thurston.

Up by 22 with seven minutes to play at ANZ Stadium, the Storm's big three signed off one last time with their hallmark inside-outside play that has long defined their telepathic combination. As we saw in the preliminary final, Addo-Carr can change a game with a single touch and if he gets some clean ball and a bit of space you can forget about it. And when Billy Slater crossed for the Storm's third try a couple of tackles later, a road to nowhere is exactly what the Cowboys seemed to be on.

Through the finals they average only eight errors per match, employing a safety-first style which saw them offload less than any team in the NRL this season, and finish with one of the best average completion rates over 24 regular season games. Andrew Johns likened the Storm to artists at work, but it's hard to imagine any artist attaining such perfection first go.

The biggest game on the league calendar is almost here as the North Queensland Cowboys prepare to take on Melbourne Storm at Sydney's ANZ Stadium tomorrow.

Packers vs. Bears Injuries: Ty Montgomery Reportedly Broke Ribs
The rookie out of UTEP was the last remaining healthy back active for the game, with fellow rookie Devante Mays inactive. If Montgomery and Williams were to miss next week's game with the Dallas Cowboys, Jones would likely be the starter.

Josh Addo-Carr scored two tries - his 20th and 21st for Storm this season.

Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster described Morgan as the form player of the competition while halfback Cooper Cronk argued his opposite number had surpassed him on current form.

If the Cowboys win then Walker said Morgan and Taumalolo will need to have blinders.

In the past three years, the NRL narrative has been about the fulfilment of longing: South Sydney, the Cowboys and Cronulla became premiers for either the first time or what seemed like it.

Cowboys With Jerry Jones Take a Knee Before National Anthem Monday Night
The Cowboys players stood during the anthem. "We (agreed) to kneel together before the Anthem, but not around the flag" said Jones.

As Eternity reported a year ago, rugby players from opposing teams have been praying together, before and after games.

Addo-Carr has told of how he was pulled into line by Craig Bellamy upon arriving at Melbourne and told that they didn't carry on celebrating tries down that way.

The nature of their 30-0 victory has made them heavy favourites to win the trophy and make up for the disappointment of last season's heart-breaking defeat. But this was different. Te Maire Martin managed a solitary try for the Cowboys in response, but it was one-way traffic in Sydney's west. It was as good as it got.

Soon enough, the points came. It was 24-6 after 63 minutes and the Cowboys' dream was effectively over. Addo-Carr's 74th minute effort was the icing.

Cashier Lucas Holliday Surprises 'The Voice' Coaches In a Big Way
For the concluding performance ( watch above ), the four coaches immediately slammed their buttons and turned their chairs. The vocalists compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance to win the title of " The Voice ".

Thirteen of the 17 Cowboys have grand final experience, 12 of which came in 2015, and you can bump that number by one should Matt Scott make a shock comeback.
