Whether you've sent a message in anger, under the influence, or just by mistake, there are numerous reasons for wanting to erase a message you've sent.

"Delete for Me", as its name suggests, will see a wiped message removed from your history but continue to remain in the recipient's chat.

If you've ever sent a WhatsApp message you quickly regretted, you can now delete the note before your contact reads it. Optionally, tap more messages to delete multiple messages at once. The deleted messages will be replaced with "This message was deleted" in the recipients chat. WhatsApp says that the sender will not be notified if deleting for everyone is unsuccessful.

So far, the feature is already live for those using WhatsApp beta v2.17.399 and above, but not everyone has it activated just yet (I'm now on v2.17.400 and I don't have the feature yet).
